Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter xylitol-free
  • 1½–2 cups oat flour plus extra for dusting

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the banana in a mixing bowl until mostly smooth.
  3. Stir in the peanut butter until fully combined.
  4. Add oat flour gradually, ½ cup at a time, until a soft, non-sticky dough forms.
  5. Roll dough to ¼ inch thick on a floured surface.
  6. Cut into shapes with a small cookie cutter; place on the prepared sheet.
  7. Bake 20–25 minutes, until firm and lightly golden.
  8. Cool completely on a wire rack — treats crisp up as they cool.

Notes

ALWAYS check your peanut butter label: xylitol (birch sugar) is toxic to dogs.
Storage: counter 3 days, fridge 1 week, freezer up to 3 months (airtight container).
Optional: add 1 beaten egg to the wet mixture for a firmer dough.
Estimated 25–35 kcal per small treat; treats should stay under ~10% of daily calories.
